Hello All from Dubai!

The last six months have gone by in a flash. Bill came to Dubai in April and I came in June. We are pretty settled and it is starting to feel like home.

Day to Day life is interesting. I hate doing laundry!!!! Our machine is a combination washer and dryer and it is very small. The dryer works by heating up and spinning the cloths but it does not blow air. The cloths do not really dry they are wet and warm, so I have to then hang them on a rack on the balcony. Jeans are the worst they take forever to dry. I am not good at ironing so we send out most of Bill’s work cloths to be ironed.

Oue apartment is very modern other than doing laundry. We have a view of the Emirates Golf Coarse on one side and Dubai Marina and the Burj Al Arab on the other. We enjoy sitting on the balcony at night and seeing the lights and activities from the Marina.

We have made lots of new friends here. Dubai is an international city so our friends are from everywhere (Austria, Australia, Britain, Finland, Jordan, and the Philippines). Then we have our friends from Austin, Texas, Dan and Nina Brown. Bill worked with Dan in Austin and they have moved here also.

In the last several months we have traveled to Rome, traveled to Fujiarah, celebrated our 5th anniversary and seen the Emmirates Golf Coarse. Below are some pictures.
